Tap Your Foot to the Oldies and the Goodies, Dolly Parton Is Getting a Netflix Series
A Dolly Parton series is coming to Netflix, and fans are already planning to call in sick from their 9-to-5s and host a viewing party! (Picture it: blond wigs, bedazzled jackets, and themed snacks like “Jolene’s Jambalaya,” “I Will Always Love Bleu Cheese Bites,” or a “Salmon en Croute of Many Colors.” I’m just throwing things out there.)
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Parton’s as-yet-untitled Netflix series will follow her previous TV movie hits, Coat of Many Colors and Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, in the same vein. So far, Netflix has ordered eight episodes of the scripted anthology series, each of which will focus on a different hit Parton song.
