Hey accountants, just because Stephen Colbert looks like one of you, it doesn’t mean he’s got your back.
The “Late Show” host tore into PricewaterhouseCoopers Monday over the firm’s epic Oscars flub from the previous night, when a high-ranking executive accidentally handed Warren Beatty the wrong envelope for the evening’s final award. As a result, Faye Dunaway announced “La La Land” as Best Picture, when the honor really went to “Moonlight.”
Re-watching the awkward ending to the 89th Academy Awards with the benefit of hindsight is “like watching ‘Titanic,’ except ‘Titanic’ actually won Best Picture,” Colbert said.

“It should have been a great moment for African-Americans, but there’s always a catch,” he continued, on the obvious difference in appearance between the two casts and sets of producers. “‘Here’s your Oscar, but some white folks get to touch it first.”
“To make matters worse, while they were up on stage, Ryan Gosling explained jazz to them,” Colbert quipped.
“Thank God they don’t run an STD clinic,” he concluded of the PwC members. “‘Alright, Mr. Johnson, let’s see, I’ve got your results here. You’re all clean, have a nice day. Oh wait, I’m sorry, Emma Stone is all clean — you have chlamydia.’”
