Stephen Colbert Explains Louis CK No-Showed Due to ‘Disturbing Allegations’ (Video)

Stephen Colbert was light one guest last night, as comedian Louis CK canceled his appearance last-minute after the New York Times published a story in which five women accused the “I Love You, Daddy” writer-director of sexual misconduct.
The “Late Show” host used a small section of his monologue to address the last-minute schedule change.
“For those of you tuning in to see my interview with Louis CK tonight, I have some bad news,” Colbert said on Thursday. “Then I have some really bad news.”

“Louis canceled his appearance here tonight because the New York Times broke this story today: five women are accusing Louis CK of sexual misconduct,” he explained, much like we just did.
Catch those quotes at the tail-end of the video above. It cuts off before this next one. Readers can watch the full, un-cut monologue here.
Anyway, “These are disturbing allegations,” Colbert added, before moving on to other matters and material.

Each of the accusations revolve around CK masturbating in front of the women — in one case over the telephone — or asking if he could. Read more about the allegations here.
Yesterday, CK’s publicist, Lewis Kay, told the Times that the comedian “is not going to answer any questions” about the accusations.
Kay later told TheWrap that “in the coming days, Louis will issue a written statement.”
