Sean Spicer is writing a book.
The former White House press secretary stopped by the set of Sean Hannity on Monday to tell the world that he is penning an account of his time in the White House in order to “set the record straight.”
“I’m going to write a book that will come out in the summer of 2018,” said Spicer. “I’ve decided that it is incumbent upon me to set the record straight and give people a real understanding of what happened through each of those crucial points in our history.”

Spicer, who has failed to land a gig as a contributor on any of the networks after he left the White House, teased the book announcement earlier in the day on Twitter.

Spicer’s dedication to setting the record straight comes in sharp contrast to his own much maligned time as Press Secretary in which his routine, proven falsehoods and exaggerations became the stuff of legend.
During his first day on the job, Spicer famously berated the press corps over the size of Donald Trump’s inauguration crowds and insisted — falsely — that they had been the largest ever.
The former press secretary was self-aware enough of his dubious White House reputation to make fun of it during a widely panned appearance at the Emmys earlier this year.
