Ratings: NFL Football Carries NBC to Sunday Win

The Minnesota Vikings edged the San Francisco 49ers last night, scoring as time expired and then adding a two-point conversion with nothing but zeroes on the clock. Yes, it was preseason NFL football, but the NFC nail-biter still handed NBC a decisive Sunday primetime victory.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted demographic and in total viewers with an average of 6.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. The football followed a “Dateline NBC” rerun.
