Ratings: Fox Settles for Fourth Place Tie With John Cena’s ‘American Grit’ Finale

With Megyn Kelly shutting down for the summer last week, NBC kicked off this Sunday with a “Dateline” rerun. From there, the network wouldn’t run an original program all evening.
CBS finished first in primetime among adults 18-49, though the network settled for second behind ABC in terms of overall audience members.
Fox settled for fourth with two hours of its “American Grit” season finale.

CBS was first in ratings with a 0.9 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 4.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 7 p.m., “60 Minutes” had a 0.7/3 and 6.5 million viewers. “Big Brother” at 8 earned a 1.9/8 and 6.6 million viewers. “Candy Crush” at 9 got a 0.5/2 and 2.2 million viewers. A rerun followed.
ABC was second in ratings with a 0.8/3 and first in viewers with 4.8 million. After a repeat, “Celebrity Family Feud” at 8 posted a 1.0/4 and 5.9 million viewers. At 9, “Steve Harvey’s Funderdome” received a 0.7/3 and 4.3 million viewers. “The $100,000” Pyramid at 10 put up a 0.7/3 and 4.4 million viewers.
NBC was third in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 3.1 million, airing all reruns.

Fox and Telemundo tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.3/1. Fox was fourth in total viewers with 968,000, Telemundo was fifth with 907,000.
For Fox, following a repeat, the two-hour season finale of John Cena’s “American Grit” managed a 0.4/2 and 1 million viewers.
Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 775,000.
