Ratings: CBS Cleans Up With New ‘Big Bang Theory’

CBS topped Thursday outright thanks to a new “Big Bang Theory,” pushing ABC’s “TGIT” lineup to second place.

Primetime was delayed a few minutes due to the Big 4’s coverage of last night’s airstrikes in Syria.

CBS was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 6.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.6/11 and 12.3 million viewers. At 8:30, “The Great Indoors” got a 1.4/6 and 7.1 million viewers. “Mom” at 9 had a 1.4/6 and 7.6 million viewers. At 9:30, “Life in Pieces” received a 1.2/4 and 5.6 million viewers. “The Amazing Race” at 10 landed a 0.9/4 and 4.3 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.3/5 and in viewers with 5.5 million. “Grey’s Anatomy” at 8 posted a 1.7/7 and 7.2 million viewers. At 9, “Scandal” put up a 1.3/5 and 5.5 million viewers. “The Catch” at 10 closed prime to a 0.7/3 and 3.7 million viewers.

NBC and Fox tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.8/3. NBC was third in total viewers with 4 million, Fox was fourth with 2.6 million.

For NBC, “Superstore” at 8 had a 0.8/4 and 3.1 million viewers. At 8:30, “Powerless” got a 0.6/2 and 2.1 million viewers. “Chicago Med” at 9 received a 1.0/4 and 5.8 million viewers. At 10, “The Blacklist: Redemption” settled for a 0.6/2 and 3.7 million viewers.

For Fox, “MasterChef Junior” at 8 had a 0.9/4 and 3.2 million viewers. At 9, “Kicking & Screaming” managed a 0.6/2 and 2 million viewers.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.6/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.8 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.2 million. “Supernatural” at 8 got a 0.5/2 and 1.6 million viewers. At 9, “Riverdale” received a 0.3/1 and 911,000 viewers.
