Retired football player Burgess Owens is blasting Colin Kaepernick.
Appearing on the set of “Fox & Friends” Wednesday, Owens dismissed Kaepernick as a “social justice warrior” who was not in-step with capitalism in America.
“[Kaepernick’s] actually where he is today because he couldn’t keep his politics out of the game. These guys are very into what they’re doing. They’re social justice warriors. That doesn’t fit with the capitalist community we have now,” said Owens

The term “social justice warrior” (SJW), was widely popularized during the 2014 Gamergate uproar over sexism in video game culture. It is often used as a pejorative term for individuals advocating a certain flavor of progressive beliefs online — particularly on Tumblr.
The Fox News segment broadly focused on plans by rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs to buy the North Carolina Panthers, which were put up for sale earlier this month.
Diddy said he would definitely consider signing Kaepernick as a starting quarterback. Known for igniting the national anthem “take a knee” protest, the player has been notably unable to find sign with another team after opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year.
The “Fox & Friends” segment was a bit of a hot mess with both Owens and co-host Pete Hegseth struggling to get Diddy’s name right.

“Would it be a good business decision for Puff Daddy to work with Colin Kaepernick? Does that not create a recipe that’s already controversial out the gates?” asked Hegseth.
Combs has not gone by “Puff Daddy” since 2001.
Owens one upped him, dropping his own version — “Puff Diddy” and added Colin “Kumpernick.”
Reps for Kaepernick did not immediately respond to request for comment from TheWrap.
