Fans Split on Daniel Craig’s Reported Return as James Bond

James Bond fans are split on whether Daniel Craig  — reported to be returning as 007 — is a good thing. Some fans celebrated the news on social media on Tuesday, while others said his “time is just up.”
“As a HUGE Bond fan, it kills me to say that I am not excited about Daniel Craig being in the next film. He was great. His time is just up,” wrote one user.
“Oh boy, they dragged Daniel Craig back for another go at a role he hates in a series he has nothing but distain for. Hooray,” wrote another.

Another fan countered, “Delighted with the news…..but over two years away?”
Some even said it was time for a change — a female spy film should be produced instead, or Craig should be replaced by a black actor such as Idris Elba. Many also referenced Craig’s previous comments that he would “rather break this glass and slash my wrists” than return for the role.
On Tuesday, The New York Times reported that Craig would reprise his performance as James Bond in the spy series’ next installment. Franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson of EON Productions, announced on Monday that the 25th James Bond film will hit the U.S. on Nov. 8, 2019. It will rollout in Europe one week prior, keeping with tradition.

The actor first played 007 in the 2006 film “Casino Royale.” He later appeared in “Quantum of Solace” (2008), “Skyfall” (2012) and “Spectre” (2015).
A spokesperson for Eon Productions has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Daniel Craig is back and I'm indifferent. He's good for the role but aging and I'm over his Bond.

Daniel Craig is five years older than @idriselba. Elba is fit, stylish, stoic, and British. It's 2017, black superheroes and leads buddy.
