CNN’s Chris Cuomo Battles Breitbart Editor Over the Meaning of ‘Rape’ (Video)
CNN’s Chris Cuomo engaged in a tough exchange Tuesday night with Breitbart News senior editor at large Joel Pollak on the definition of rape.
At one point during the over 16-minute exchange on on the set of “CNN Tonight,” Cuomo and Pollak tangled over comments made by Breitbart editor in chief Alexander Marlow, who seemed to suggest he wasn’t sure what “rape” even meant anymore.
“Rape used to have a narrow definition. Rape used to have a definition where it was — it was brutality, it was forced sexual attack and penetration,” said Marlow on the radio program Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily on Tuesday.
“Now it’s become, really, any sex that the woman ends up regretting that she had.”

The quote was first surfaced by the liberal watchdog group Media Matters for America.
Cuomo demanded Pollak account for it.
“Do you believe that? Do you believe you’re not really sure when something’s rape, Joel?” Cuomo asked.
Pollack demurred, saying his boss’ quote was out of context and — in full Trumpian style — he attacked the messenger.

“It’s the Media Matters pull quote and I guess it’s gone around the talking points,” said Pollak. “People need to know where the quote comes from. The quote’s out of context and Media Matters and every other outlet that reported that quote left out what Alex said at the beginning. He was talking about campus culture.”
Pollak then went on to cite campus accusers — like the “mattress girl at Columbia university” — whom he said falsely charged that another student had raped her in 2012.
“His life was ruined at Columbia because of this accusation,” Pollak said of the accused. “What Alex is talking about is true.”
The exchange only got more tense from there.
