It seems like Ben Affleck’s future as Batman is up in the air as the actor says he’s only “contemplating” reprising the role in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” and that he’s looking how best to phase out of playing the Caped Crusader.
The actor told USA Today that the new “Batman” movie is “something I’m contemplating.”
“You don’t do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it,” he said.

It’s unclear whether “The Batman,” which Affleck dropped out of writing and directing in January, would be that segue or whether he’s hoping for another film to provide that exit.
However, it seems clear that Affleck doesn’t want to play the iconic DC character much longer.
In August, Affleck’s brother Casey Affleck said he doesn’t think Ben will return to play Batman in Reeves’ upcoming film.
There has been speculation that Affleck was tiring of the character, but at this year’s Comic-Con during the Warner Bros Hall H presentation, Affleck practically shouted his determination to continue playing the character.

Affleck will next appear as the Caped Crusader in “Justice League,” hitting theaters this Friday.
